Re: New Kawasaki J300
Just seen this on the German J300 forum:
Today was the Kawa dealer in Berlin. The J 300 was still not to look [at] locally. According to information from the dealer is the expected date for the Special Edition (Green / Black) for June 2014. Reason: High demand. The silver and black should be available, however.
http://www.j300.de" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
It was echoed by others - SE models sold out and no more until May or June, but the black and silver are available immediately.
I'm not really surprised. Word from my dealer is that they have taken orders on 6 or 7 altogether and a black and a silver have already gone out the door as they were supplied to stock. No SE have yet arrived (including mine!). If you haven't ordered a SE-ABS already, then it looks like hard luck: they have no idea when any more will be available, as all those allocated to the UK have been snapped up.

Re: New Kawasaki J300
thats probably from the demand such as france where only abs models are sold.
good news and sorry chaps, but thank you for all the advice and help, that i did not go for the 2010 tmax 500 in croyden i could not get a good enough deal, it needed a service and coolant change, then a belt change at 12000 miles and my part ex price was not worth it, so went down to Chatham this morning, test rode the Kawasaki J300 SE with 3 miles on the clock, it was just what i need for my old age
so done the deal for there pre ordered J300SE ABS which will be in in a couple of weeks. Did a deal with the servicing at 1 month then every 3000 miles or 12 month intervals.. in the warranty period, also ordered givi B37 blade tech top box, givi SR4111MM rear rack and givi E131S backrest, and the Kawasaki High Windshield which is givi also, with 10% off matched price of motorcycleplanet and FREE fitting, so all in all happy with my decision, also got the pdi, registration and tax free which is normally £88 ish, so await my pick of the reg plate then its all systems go, big smiles

Sounds like you covered everything and got yourself a decent deal, does it mean you're part-exing the Nexus, if so any plans to offer it at Part Ex price + £50 or would you prefer hassle-free swap?michaelphillips wrote:thats probably from the demand such as france where only abs models are sold.

Re: New Kawasaki J300
cheers fizzy

Poldark you made a valid point regarding offering to a muppet, as i would love to see her have a happy home. so if anyone is interested PM me i have put details below. price will be £1050 which is 50 more than trade, (which will pay my train fees to pick up new scoot and have fish and chips
) she is impeccably reliable and all the items you might think you would need to change, already have been changed.. so will just probably need a rear hoop for mot in may and taxed till end of august, probably missed off a few things
2004 Gilera Nexus 500 New Additions
Mk2 Hand Guards - Handlebar Wing Mirrors
LED Front Indicators with 25 ohm Resistors Fitted
LED Daylight Running Lights in Cowling – Leather Tri Colour Seat Cover
ZX1 Treatment to Engine and Gearbox Oil – Ancillary warning lights changed to LED
Brisk Silver Electrode LGS Spark Plug (15,000 miles life still left)
Dr Pulley 26gm Roller Weights – New NGK Suppressor and HT Lead
Sprint Super Competition Air Filter (never needs changing)
5 Shoe Clutch – Malossi Contra Spring – Aluminium Master Cylinder Covers
Polini Evolution Lightened Race Performance Clutch Bell
Philips 12972-XVS2 H7 X-Treme Vision headlight Bulbs x2 Gilera Nexus 500 Service History
Scooter had 33,000 miles on her when I purchased in 2011 and had oil and filter change immediately, has been serviced every 3600 miles, with engine oil and filters and gear oil changed. Belt changed in summer 2013, and the service warning indicators reset. Valve timing adjustment was reset in summer 2013 and found to be not that far out.
All three disk rotors changed in 2012 - Flushed dot 4 brake fluid and bled 3 x callipers and distribution valve 2012 - new brake fluid then installed. Refurbished all Disk callipers March 2014 after winter, pads have been changed when required in my ownership. Valve timing adjusted summer 2013. At present (8th march 2014) rear Ebc organic pads are at 90% - Front kerb side sintered pads have 80% friction material - Offside front pads on the combined braking at 40% friction material, and will require changing in next 5000 miles as they don’t get used much. Since first ownership in 2011, I stripped the scoot down and repainted the frame where necessary. Since then I have changed the battery, fork seals and new fork oil, New Voltage regulator and recently changed the water pump seals and flushed the coolant and new coolant replaced. She is a joy to ride and will be sadly missed, only done 4000 miles per year in her 10 year life, always starts first time, 48 mpg a to b - 65mpg on trips. 15 litre fuel tank. All paper receipts since vehicle purchase have been kept in wallet and email receipts are available to send please email to m.phillips290@gmail.com
Two black ignition keys and Red service key and original top box keys
