I should be grateful for some first-hand information about the Honda Vision 110.
I have enjoyed owning and riding my electric NIU moped. It goes very well but is beginning to show its age, not least in the battery department.
I think I'm going to replace it ere long and have been looking around with that in mind.
Unfortunately, the Dealer I bought the NIU from seems no longer to sell them although there are one or two others that do.
I have ascertained that they are no less than £1000 more expensive than the 2003 Vision.
I intend holding on to my Forza 350.

Re: Honda Vision
I know that Richie has had a few, but the most knowledgeable long term Vision owner is a fella called Scootyman, who visits the c90club forum regularly.
He's on YouTube, too, with a fair few videos regarding his various Vision 110s. https://www.youtube.com/@scootyman2974/videos
There are some decent topics on the Vision on c90club forum, too. Generally it is well liked.
Horobags has just sold a recent one, purely for the reason that it didn't have what he needed for a longer commute on fast roads.

Re: Honda Vision
I bought a new one in 2022 Mike, had it for commuting and it was the perfect tool. Light and very economical, I fitted a top box and screen, will sit happily at 45-50mph. I only sold it as my commute changed and I bought an old SH300, and missed the Vision within the first 30 miles.
Also check out the 125 mode, a bit more road presence and power, and the all new yamaha Rayzr.

The Rayzr is essentially an update on the old Yamaha Cygnus from years ago, before they dropped it and Sinnis took it over as the Hero.horobags wrote: ↑Tue Aug 20, 2024 8:09 am I bought a new one in 2022 Mike, had it for commuting and it was the perfect tool. None the worse for being made in China, and a bargain basement price, too.

Re: Honda Vision
Thank you.
I thought at first of looking for a 49cc moped but realised it wouldn't be as quick as the NIU.
Speed isn't of the essence but the extra offered by the Vision 110 is just right foruse round here; I'm not looking to replace the Forza.
I'm now keeping a log of miles per charge, aware that I might be getting paranoid about it, hoping that my imagination is running riot.
We shall see.

Re: Honda Vision
I had a 110 from new about 10 years ago and did 6k miles on it in the year that I owned it. Great little scoot. Very economical and really likes being chucked around.
Did some motorway trips on it. The key is to wait until a truck overtakes, then tuck in behind. You can get into a spot where you've still got a safe braking zone but stay in the slipstream.

Re: Honda Vision
Hello Mike,Definitely don’t get a 50cc scooter,i had one once,i weighed less, but the scoot was sluggish to say the least
i think the Vision 110 should suit your purposes Church ect,the Forza will do your longer runs,i think you’re gonna get a kick in the nuts when trying to chop the NIU in,perhaps your man at Newcastle motorcycles may do you a deal, you obviously had a good customer/salesman set up going on.
I am still enjoying my Forza 350,i have just stepped in to the Electric Cycle market, got myself one of them Fat Tyre models
Hope you are well
Steve

Re: Honda Vision
Hello, Steve.
Thank you.
I had an NRG for a few months before I took my test and bought an X9. It served its purpose but I wouldn't get a 50cc again, hence looking at the Vision 110.
You are quite right: Vision for church and local stuff and Forza for longer trips.
Glad you're still enjoying your Forza.
Quite by chance I've been looking at those Fat Tyrbikes and saw one close-up yesterday in Calne; I'm staying with Edd at the moment.
I'm under no illusions as to the trade-in value of the NIU but I may cut my losses as the batteries are an arm and a leg to replace.
Paul at Newcastle Motorcycles will treat me fairly, that's for sure.
I'm pretty well now, thanks, although still under the consultant but getting back to something like normal.
I have pills every day, one of which is for life, but it's a small price to pay for comfort.
I hope you are well and enjoying life.
I have many happy memories of riding with you and look forward to the day when, perhaps, we will ride together again.
Best wishes,
Mike & Edd
