27/06/14 - 8 day Euro trip - what shall I take

Post by Steve_D »

As above, going on an 8 day trip. Leaving on Friday, going to lake Garda via France, Belgium, Germany and Austria. Have started the packing or to be more accurate, started the list for my packing. I'm going on my FJR with a top box, side cases and a tank bag. Taking a spare tail pack in case the wife buys 'stuff' while we are there (wives flying out and meeting us there). Here's what I think I need so far. Too much? Too little? Have I forgotten anything (don't say the kitchen sink!). Suggestions welcome.

Hairdryer
Heated rollers
Curling tongs
Straightening tongs
Several dozen pairs of various style and colours of shoes
A selection of outfits, (typically duration of trip in days multiplied by 2.5)
A selection of portable mirrors
A large vanity case full of assorted cosmetics
A small vanity case with the left over cosmetics that won't fit in the big case
A selection of various size and colour of handbags
A large suit hanger with a selection of good frocks for evenings
A travel iron to get the creases out from travelling
Half the towels you have in the house

And finally but perhaps most importantly:

Proper British Teabags.
