GERG Sharker

Post by Bluebottle »

Somebody posted the Johamer bike recently and I was sure I'd seen something close to it before but couldn't remember where.
Anybody with a design background would straight away recognise the Bauhaus inspiration to the design but there was something else too.

It was the Sharker

I'm getting the impression that there must be major shortage of skilled motorcycle designers....on recent form it would seem that anyone who can draw badly seems to be able to get a job designing bikes, no matter how ludicrous or ugly their designs are! Or how delusional they are....

This is the Guy who did the design on the new KYMCO Xciting 400i, and also Ducatis, etc. Massimo Zaniboni.

I think its just that the mad as cheese stuff gets noticed, hardly anybody pays attention when a run of the mill design turns up.

Out of maybe a hundred mad things something new will take hold and become main stream.
Everybody went nuts when the jelly mold Sierra came out, 4 years later everything looked like a Sierra
