I thought the 6000 mile service was supposed to be little more than an oil change?

The 400z abs burgman is way cheaper to run! So is my car!! (Yes, true).
Probably not ugly enough for the 'Ugly Bunch'!

Re: X10 running cost
My Nissan Micra has 12,500 mile service intervals.
I bought it used and got an inclusive deal on two services and its first MoT for £250 along with it.
Add £110 for two tyres and a tenner for some wipers.
So in the first two years of my ownership it has done thirty thousand miles at a running cost of £370
Which is less than what my old PCX cost to run for its first year.
But if you add fuel into the equation...

Re: X10 running cost
i can not afford to buy new... or owt at the moment ha ha... but i would still buy a one year old scoot and then do it all myself if i could afford one
thats why i still got my nexus at 44,000 miles but she is well cared for and a pleasure to fiddle with
I cant seem to remember.. I don't know where I'm going, but I'm on my way.

Re: X10 running cost
My Skoda Fabia mk2 Estate diesel I bought new. It averages 57mpg everyday and 72-74mpg on a run. First service at main dealer £80 at 10k miles. Second service £130 at 20k miles and £212 at 30k miles. Road tax is £30 pa. It has all the electrical gadgets and air con. Apart from the higher initial purchase cost it's miles cheap to run compared to most bikes including my Burgman which needs service every 4k. Even my car insurance is no more than my Burgman but the Burgman is more expensive to tax of course! The one thing the car won't compete on is fun and convenience.
Probably not ugly enough for the 'Ugly Bunch'!

Re: X10 running cost
Well that X10 500 is falling rapidly to the bottom of my list my Maxsym running costs are far less. Whats with the delay in roller housing and belt? I had my 2.5 Audi A4 auto serviced at the end of November. It was a full long term service which is only carried out every 2 years it also needed an MOT and my rear springs had to be replaced since one had broken (had generic ones fitted not Audi, £60 cheaper). Total bill £545 and of course that included collection and delivery of car from my home and a valet. Your mates Piaggio dealer is doing well
