It does what it says on the bottle

Post by Ferret »

Evening all , i recently tried a product called extra lube zx1 . I used it in the oil and the pinion gear ,added to brake fluid and coolant system oh and a little in the fuel and finally treated the chain . WOW !!! this stuff works and does all it claims to do unlike some of the other similar products i have seen advertised over the years . firstly it can be used in wet clutch vehicles as it is not a PTFE or teflon coating .The results so far have been ,the engine was instantly quieter, with better throttle response ,the pinion gear box was much smoother as was the chain , the biggest improvement was a 50% loss of vibration overall ,the brakes feel stronger and to top it all off the mpg has improved . NO BS ,i then put it in the car and the other half noticed the differences and that was only adding it to the engine oil . Quote from mrs " the cars running quieter and smoother today and accelerates much better what you done to it " my mrs has never noticed anything when it comes to mechanical things . If you have any questions they have an http://www.team-zx1.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and its cheaper online .Since using the zx1 i have tried there grease and barrial spray and the c60 and the handy pin oiler and i must say they are all great products and i will continue to use them . IMHO the zx1 was money well spent .

I'm not wishing to start an argument, but that just sounds too good to be true.
From their website it looks like the answer to life, the universe and everything!
There must be a catch!

I agree and that is how I have always felt about these type of products until I tried this time around . I used to use other ptfe/Teflon type items when I used to rebuild engines ,but with this the changes were very noticeable . I tried there barria gel this also works really well as does the spray etc . I would love to fault it but I can't ,it even smells ok . Hold on the packaging is a bit bland that's it lol

An additional Fuel additive - which contain additives...
An additional Oil additive - which contain additives... (Engine / Transmision / Fork etc)
An Additive to water - water with additives, is that not coolant? -I have heared of 'Water Wetter' - which is meant to change the surface tension of water - mainly for racing used where rads contain only water (distiled/batt top up) and not coolant...
But... Contaminating your brake fluid? - 'spose depends on the additive...
Unless the additive is brake fluid that you are adding to everything else?

I thought WD40 was the only known cure for all ills, then i discovered the great smell of GT85...

friction inhibitors have been around for 15 years or so, around year 2000 i was a cab driver in London and drove around 1000 miles per week, the guys whom sold this type of product used to periodically come around the office, with there devise to demonstrate the benefits.. it was around £15 then... they are a good product, until you try it you wont be convinced.. i would recommend implementing to any scoot which has done a fair few miles, as protection of wearing internal engine components, also vehicles which have a long oil change interval. i can honestly say that i forgot all about this product, but seen as my Nexus is approaching 42000 miles, and oil and filter change in 3 weeks, seen as i saved on the Halfords oil i have bought a 100ml bottle of ZX1 for £7 delivered, because it lasts 25,000 miles as thermally bonds to the wearing surfaces. when you change the oil in 3600 miles that means you dont have to put it in again for 6 oil changes, will put a capful in rad, and in gearbox oil ( as i always change gear oil at oil changes) and capful in fuel before adding the rest to the new oil. so it works out at £7 for next 4 years for me :D will advise once done...

Buying Castrol oil with special zinc and phosphorous-based additive ZDDP would give wear protection. and changing your oil at regular intervals will stop the deposit build-up. Over thousands of miles and millions of firing cycles, these additives degrade and deplete - which is why engine oil has to be changed regularly to keep it doing its job. So change the oil regularly :D
I cant seem to remember.. I don't know where I'm going, but I'm on my way.
