Mana discontinued

Post by Earl »

I'm a member of the Mana FB page and it has been posted that the Mana is being discontinued, so thats 3 of us that now have a modern classic PMSL!

That's a shame there was potential in the Mana if only they'd have ironed out the niggles and lowered the servicing costs.

Still wish they'd bung that engine into a Xevo 800 though, would be a beast

True....though I always thought a version with a fairing would have made it more attractive to commuters (and touring types). I can't see a naked-bike buyer being attracted to the auto-trans - after all, if you buy a naked bike you aren't interested in practicality - whilst a commuter might like a bike with a decent fairing for the winter and auto trans for urban warfare.

Yes but I'd like the same design as the Xevo, like Mr Grumpy says with more fairing. Also more storage and pillion comfort and ditch the chain (or at least enclose it, make it self adjusting and oiling so there's no dicking around between services, which would also be 8000 miles). Basically just scale up and improve the Xevo design and keep the cheap servicing costs of the Xevo too 8-)

For me the extra power would be useful with the Mrs on the back as although the Xevo is fine even on the motorway with a pillion (I'm a big heavy git btw at 6ft 2" and 18.5 stone), I'd like more oomph in reserve with a pillion especially from a standing start where the Xevo is quite sluggish two up.

, so if we bung a mana engine in a xevo, and a sh 300 motor in a s-wing 125 , us muppets have solved the global scootering needs ;)
