Twist & Go July\Aug Issue

Post by bornagainbiker »

Just got my new issue No. 87 today and quite a few new scooter write ups.

Sym Joymax (GTS in UK) 125 and 300 new improved models, tested in Israel, no prices given as yet due this August.... maybe.

Peugeot Satelis LFE 125i, model relaunch - Ouch £3999+OTR

Our favourite discussion at present - Piaggio X10 350 Executive by Harriet Ridley.

Off for a good read..... :D

Harriet is dreadful full stop. Her reviews are usually full of nonsense and are completely fictitious. Mind you the rest of them aren't far behind.

That's the going rate for a quality, well-specced scooter these days. Sadly.

At least they're bringing it back in. Any mention of the 300 or 400?

The 300 will use the old Piaggio Quasar but the 400 is new and Peugeot's own. Supposed to be on par with the old Master 492.

Her style is a little pedestrian but then you have the likes of Sticky, who knows his stuff and is funny to boot!

Sym Joymax 300 with a new F4 engine up from 263.7cc to 278.3cc with 20.2bhp @ rear wheel. They only got to 77mph in their test (but not full throttle) , but Sym claims 87mph maximum. They say more powerful than Kymco's Downtown 300 and Honda's SH300 showing a nice spread of power on the dyno graph. It has linked brakes but no ABS, however there is an ABS speed ring sensor fitted for future ABS as an option, expect around £300 extra. Report by Iggy.
