When you've got it and before you fit it do ask for useful tips.

Meldrew's right of course - Silverwing600 has a wealth of useful information about the Silverwing but it may be easier to ask here since a number of us are on both forums.

My 'pet' tip for the Givi screen is that the extra hole, through the plastic, can be drilled with a sharpish bit held in the hand. This removes the danger of buggering-up the hidden captive nut which is under the plastic.

Good tip, thanks. I found a picture tutorial where the bloke didn't dill the hole, just left the screw out. Is that a problem?

i have always thought a good hot soldering iron does the trick thru plastic instead of drilling :D
I cant seem to remember.. I don't know where I'm going, but I'm on my way.

Fitting the brackets with the bolt through the 'new' hole is so simple it's not worth not doing it.
The screen is quite substantial and it's my opinion that the brackets should be fitted.
