A Maxsym 600 may be about £1500 more just now, but two years down the line your Silverwing will probably be worth more.

Bless you Mister Smeghead! You've been patiently waiting and have reached out on a few occasions for more info on the elusive SYM 600i Roadshow. I've no doubt that you've made a good call buying the Silverwing. Exciting times - but beware of 'Meldrew-itus'!

Her indoors is shocked. I am a notorious ditherer and provaricator, not known for instant decisiveness. I'll try to post some pictures when it comes, due to work commitments and faffing ot will be couple of weeks.

Sounds like you got a good deal Mr smeghead! Very pleased for you. Bottom line is, whatever one goes for these days you can't really go far wrong. If you like it, buy it is my motto, well in the main!

Re: Silverwing 600
One thing you MUST do Smeghead is, remove the underseat light bulb. It has happened to me and many others, you "Think" the seat is closed. One morning you come out and, you have a flat battery. Just lever the light cover off (under the seat) with a flat bladed screwdriver keep the bulb,if you ever sell, put it back.

Re: Silverwing 600
Can't you just turn the light off like you can on the B400 ?
I left the bulb in - but turned the switch off in case I need it on some dark and stormy night in the middle of nowhere

Re: Silverwing 600
Hi Data, Regarding the underseat light, I had the same issue with th Maj, came out of work one evening and battery flat as a fart. Luckily AA man around the corner and was with me in 10 mins. he jump started it and took the bulb out. I got home popped the battery on charge overnight and never had another problem. if manufacturers insist on under seat lights why cant they just put a manually switched one in?

Hi Meldrew. Please tell me your experience of the Givi airflow, I'm sure you have fitted one. Was it a pain to fit?

Re: Silverwing 600
Yes, as Bluebottle says, the Burgman 400's have a switched underseat light so no problem. I keep mine turned off, but like Bluebottle just turn it on when out on those dark winter nights. Not having a switch is a serious omission I would have thought. But easily fixed...so go to it!
