Was from official dealer Barry...if you don't like sym fine... and its not a poor replica... thanks.. ask Gerald groucheino and day... all burgman owners who were very impressed with the sym at close scrutiny... one man's pleasure is one man's poison... I've experienced piaggio burgman and now sym... at 1300 cheaper with a 3 year warranty I have absolutely no worries of build quality ..
Is it not their CBS, Combined Braking System on the Maxsym 400i?
I quite like the Sym products for their lower cost, 3 year warranty and currently with 2 year 0% finance.
Hi born again... I'll take a pic of wheel when stops seeing it down... as aforementioned peep had a v close look. look at it in the flesh they all said defo ABS... I dunno way it has... but mine does... found out yesterday when it kicked in when I had to swerve to miss a pheasant on a gravely road come to think of it .
Fingers, I dont dislike SYM at all in fact some of their scoots are great. I did look very closely at the Maxsym, but felt the Burger that much better.
Maximum speed, no idea on the SYM but gn2, dont forget the UK isnt the only country in the world so its deffo over 70mph
Hi Fingers, If you have an ABS model then great, but I have read some reviewer reports of scooters that 'thought' it had ABS due to the ring on the front wheel, but in fact is a speed sensor?
Have both wheels got a sensor ring? If only on the front then it's not ABS.
I looked at Youtube and the ABS model has ABS written below the rear Maxsym 400i logo? The manufacturers nearly always want to point this fact out. Unfortunately I can not find any close up videos.
Below is a Maysym 400i at 42 seconds showing the front wheel ring. This is a speed sensor ring and not ABS related. The rear wheel also has no ring sensor.
