Maxi scooter weather protection
I used to have a BMW 1200RT and if it started raining, as long as I was doing over 25mph I barely got wet, body or legs, and a Hayabusa that was much the same at above about 50/60mph. I once did about 60 miles of A14 on that knowing if I stopped I'd get wetter putting waterproofs on, than I was getting riding. I'm thinking with the protection of a maxi scooter bodywork and a big Givi screen that would be much the same, would I be right? Reason I'm asking is I was watching a Visordown review on YouTube of a Burgman 400 and the guy said how wet he'd got, particularly around the lower body riding on the motorway, which surprised me. Thanks

As with everything, it varies! Whilst almost all Maxis have a large fairing and decent screen, it doesn't always mean that you will keep dry. Some Maxis, eg Tmax, have a relatively feet forward riding position, so your legs & body are a fair way away from the fairing, and in heavy rain, with a very wet road, spray can come round the fairing and make you wet! Annoying! However, some smaller scoots with a more upright riding position mean that your legs are much closer to the fairing and this does mean that, like your 1200RT, if you keep moving, your legs are reasonably well protected from the rain.
Though in the end, the wretched stuff gets everywhere! At M-way speeds, on a wet busy road, there is so much spray, its like being in a shower, whatever you ride. Even the BMW C1 roofed scooter - you may have a roof and a fairing, but apparently you got absolutely soaked in that when it rained!
