Still better than my Tmax! On M-ways it all depends on the speed you cruise at - drag from wind increases exponentially with speed. Most of my Tmaxs would give around 50 something mpg on fast roads and travelling at up to an indicated 80 on m-ways (though air temperature seemed to make a big difference). I recall once on a very fast trip to York, on dual carriageways and bombing down a single carriageway on a cold winters day and only getting 43mpg! On a long reasonably gentle run on a hot day, I could increase it to the low 60s.

The computer on my ADV350 is saying I'm getting 76.6 mpg, although I don't take too much notice of the computers, but I haven't had to refill the tank yet! I'm only creeping along the narrow Cumbrian back lanes and carefully navigating the rather twisty and unpredictable main roads and I'm rarely getting to 60mph!

The Peugeot XP400 meets many of requirements ie price, CVT, decent suspension (ADV like), around £8k, and around 35bhp. However, it is seriously heavy - 240kg or so - and the underseat space is poor. I know where you are coming from weight-wise. Its nice to have the ADV350 which is lighter than the Tmax, especially where there are lots of slopes and hills to park on!

Not a bad suggestion MrGrumpy, but too heavy for me ( 240kg is heavier than the X ADV 750 I sold a couple of years ago )

870 miles since Wednesday. 64mpg average.

I've honestly no idea what the Forza does, suspect low 80's mpg. I don't need massive fuel economy if the tank's big enough. 200 miles is OK. Weirdly the SuperCubs lack of range does annoy me to the point of carrying a jerry can. Sort of logical, going twenty miles out of your way on a 125 to get petrol uses more of your day and I'm more likely to be up a sheep track in the Dales on a 100kg bike than a 200kg one.

Given the crazy costs of insurance and tyres I'm not going to worry about 10 mpg here of there. If I couldn't afford petrol I'd be walking.

I get around 90 mpg on my Forza and around 80 mpg on the ADV 350. The Forza shows about 240 miles range after filling up, and the ADV shows about 200. I tend to fill up when the range drops to about 50 miles on both.

One wonders why the Forza is more economical than the ADV, given that they have the same engine! Different aerodynamics (taller)? Different gearing?

Forza is more aerodynamic. No different gearing.

Maybe adv riders ride harder...

My Forza has a slightly smaller engine than the ADV, as it is the 300 model opposed to the 350 ADV. I can only think the difference I get in mpg is because of the 50cc extra capacity, and possible a bit taller stance, and the high handlebars which give a very upright riding position, creating more more wind resistance against the rider.

Just to throw a spanner in the works I have enquired twice in the past two weeks with a dealer about the availability of the new Forza 750 and have been told a 2030 delivery date......there is a hold on them at the moment for an unknown reason. The XADV is currently available.
