Joys of Maxi scoot ownership

There is something rather odd about the mk3 ignition lock - it always feels pretty bad, sometimes the key doesn't want to turn at all and seems likely to fail at any moment. It was the same on both the mk3s I've owned. Yet it always seems to stagger on - famous last words! Wouldn't like to imagine the cost and hassle of getting a new lock and having it coded!

I must add a puff of graphite powder to mine soon to keep it turning through winter.
