SH350 Next Week
Seen one of those contentless teaser videos bike manufacturers love to produce, but it definitely says that Honda will release an SH350 next week. Presumably using the same engine as the recent Forza 350. Whether there are any other changes, I don't know!

Re: SH350 Next Week
well it would seem logical to used one engine. and as i need to wait a short while before i can get mine . the bigger engine version would be nice .
add on :- just watched the vid. i like , new lights ,dash simular to the 125 . i wonder if the under seat will be the same as the 125 as they moved the fuel tank up front giving an extra bit of storage. ?
have to wait till next tuesday .

Re: SH350 Next Week
I'm hoping for a few new practical touches on this new SH, perhaps more than just a copy of the 2020 SH125. I've held off for a couple of years, buying a new scoot or bike, until my retirement date in February. It looks like we have a huge choice of new scoots and bikes over the coming winter months - from Yam's MT-09, to bikes from Kawasaki and Triumph, to the Tricity 300.
I'd love to think I'd be happy on a new SH300, but I'd like to think I could live with the flat floor and lack of FF and the relatively small storage area. There's always the Forza 300!

Re: SH350 Next Week
I'd like to think they have improved the ride comfort too on the new SH. From my test rides it was not good over potholes. My GTS300 is far better even with it's smaller wheels. Surprising I know, but noted in many tests by pro riders. This increase in engine size is due to Euro5 regs killing the older version and in order to keep selling it the power had to be reduced. Not good. So I'm not expecting much in the way of extra power. But it will be nice to see how that transpires in real life. Should at least get some more torque.
Probably not ugly enough for the 'Ugly Bunch'!

Here you go. MCN article on the 2021 PCX (more power, ABS, traction and keyless) includes mention of the SH350.

Re: SH350 Next Week
Oh dear. The power is up 4hp with a concomitant weight increase but I don't like the sound of the poor suspension. In the website blurb, it states 'high-quality suspension'. Having sold a 2016 CB500X a year into ownwership because of it's appalling 'pothole-crashing' front suspension, I don't want to go back there again. I know that component specs can be budget on the cheaper models and I'm 92kg,which may show up poorer set-ups. Re: SH350 Next Week
Off-topic I know, but that's a tad annoying. With eyes on a possible Scandinavian tour in a couple of years, a used CB500X was top of my list for suitable bikes.Capt. Maybe I'd better look after that 23 year old 600 Diversion I picked up this Summer as that's fantastic over potholed roads.

I agree with the Captain about the CB500X's suspension - that was one of the reasons I got rid of my 2018 model.

Surprising given that the 'X' models are allegedly 'Adventure' models! There again the CB500s are designed to be cheap.wilsonsteve wrote: Wed Nov 11, 2020 10:10 am I agree with the Captain about the CB500X's suspension - that was one of the reasons I got rid of my 2018 model.
