Well you can`t go far wrong at 85mpgs, thats great.
I usually get around 62 on my SW too, but I do wonder what the capacity is filling it up on the side stand, anyone got a rough idea.
Mine went all non Honda on me not long after I got it and the fuel gauge failed. Now I just set trip B each time I fill up and allow myself 160 miles.
I am considering moving to a 300 scooter as rarely go over 70 mph these days and do struggle with the silverwing weight.
But I am wary of getting something with less good rear end antics. Since taking the hump off the SW, so slightly further back and fitting city grips the SW suits me now in that way.
The new Sym TL500 with aswinging arm looks good but a little less easy to get on and off.
Best Mark.

I just looked up the TL500. It looks a right corker.

Yes it does, perhaps except the chain though.

I suppose there's no perfect way to get the power to the wheel. If a chain is looked after it does last ages but it's a faff I suppose. I doubt that sort of scooter would be used as a day to day hack though. I wonder what cost it will be .XP500FUN wrote:Yes it does, perhaps except the chain though.

That's the way I monitor my mpg and over numerous bikes/scooters owned I have found it the best approach.Sylar wrote:Regarding fuel, I read somewhere that if you monitor how many miles you do from full to first mark it is a good guide to how far you will go from last mark to empty. I did this on my Silver wing and it does work quite well. I seem to be averaging 85mpg on the Sym. I usually get 62mpg on the Silver wing.
