Re: Croatia trip
Hi Nick. Welcome.
How high is the mileage? and how many owners? Is there any service history?
It might be ok but I remember someone on here buying a rogue tmax a while back. Had a lot of trouble.
I've had Mk1, 2 and 4 but I like the mk2's best
It depends how much you're spending. Should be able to get good mk2's for £1800 to £2500

46000 miles but the guy is a bit vague about the service history I think a mk2 would be good really like the mk3 but their a bit pricey for me is there much difference in the handling and performance?

Re: Croatia trip
hi and welcome nick..nickwebb sometimes when you do a search on ebay you dont get all the results, usually because in wrong catagory or spelt wrong and the metatag search dont find it
like this mk1 is title 2001 YAMAHA TMAX XP500 SILVER Its currently got 18775 miles on the clock, was serviced at 16,907 and I had a new drive belt fitted, so it should be good for another 15,000. It has a full service history, 388, 1895, 3550, 4269, 8184, 9020, 11982, 16907 miles all stamped. There are loads of old MOTs, the original handbook, 2 keys, its data tagged, has the extra pillion backrest, last MOT has no advisories, its next MOT is due around the 16th Feb, but I am happy to get that done as part of the deal or I will knock £40 off the final price.
now if your looking for a good well looked after mk1 then this one is in Falmouth (but im sure you can arrange a delivery to yourselves if won,) someone else has seen it and bid the first £1250 so if you hold out to the end you could get a great buy for a little more, if you interested. but just thought i could show you a good mk1

Re: Croatia trip
should go for around 1500 so will be good, you could do your trip then sell the bike on for same money as the milage is low now, then if you like a lot then get a mk3.. no initial costs before the trip as just been serviced, so all round winner... im sure lads whom have done long trips on here would be changing belts and doing a service and getting there spare part gear to take, thats a good new thread there , what to take... and breakdown insurance , im with swinton at £3.99 per month UK cover yet european cover is £5.99 per month but you dont pay for the first 3 months (direct debit) and can opt out if you want with no costs
I cant seem to remember.. I don't know where I'm going, but I'm on my way.
