Thoughts on my burger......

Post by Stibbs »

I've now had the 400 for a week. My initial thoughts are;
Lovely and easy to ride
Comfortable seat position (easy adjustment if not)
Frugal
Holds the road well
Plenty of power for what it is
Stacks of storage

I've added an MRA vario screen this makes the initial buffering nearly non existent.
I've treated the machine to allyearbiker ACF50

icon_wink-.gif overall assessment is I like the bike. It was a good purchase, I'm happy thumb.gif

Welcome and glad you like your new ride! Your assessment of the bike is spot on. I've had mine for getting on for two years and like you, love it. They are a diy persons dream for maintenance, and there is not much to do. Enjoy!
Probably not ugly enough for the 'Ugly Bunch'! :lol:

Been riding for 55 years & owned too many bikes to list here...

Picked up my new Burg 400 on Oct. 3rd. Have already racked up over 1500 miles. Of that, about 300 mi are two up touring including Interstate highways at 70 mph or more.
Like Stibbs, I am also very pleased overall with the Burg. I believe it will become a long term asset to my stable. My other wheels, a PCX150, is fun for local rides, but is only suitable for solo. Wife says she will undergo training on it come spring so we can ride together.
I don't miss my Honda NT700 (Deauville) at all. It was a beast to handle at low speeds, and too damn tall to swing a leg over at my ripe old age of 66. Dropping the Deauville at a stop is very commonplace, but I don't have any fear of that happening with the Burgman.

Interesting Yoda. I also used to have Deauvilles, a 650 & 700. I liked them both for what they were. Reliable workhorses, shaft drive and easy to maintain. I bought a new VStrom 650 last year and love that bike. My Burger is primarily for local use but iLl give it a blast over a longer distance next year.
