2001 tmax

Post by stollie »

Just want to know what Tmax riders think of 2001 as she has done 72,000k's. What do you guys think as between 2001 or 2008 and 2001 half the price. 8-)

Well, they are a quite different. Compared to the mk1 the mk3 has several major upgrades, notably rather more power, twin front disks and rather better front forks. Some mk1s suffered from a cam chain tensioner failure which made the engine go bang around 30,000 miles, but this one seems to have survived that!

2001 means its an old bike, so frankly they shouldn't be asking very much. I guess at that age it comes down to condition, and that mk1 has been well used.

Just make sure the battery is charging. Seems common that generators fail on early bikes.
I'd get the 2001

Past the 2001 up as weight the pro's and con's up and 2008 would be better as only 18,000k's. Thanks to everyones comments and help. 8-)

The 2008 is what I'd get if I was hunting for one. You won't go wrong at that price 8-)
