Called in the local Piaggio dealer today just to look, fatal! Ended up having a ride on a Vespa GTS Super. It was a blustery day took it through town where it was brilliant for traffic busting, so agile and responsive and I couldn't get over the way the suspension dealt with imperfections in the road as if they weren't there.
I'm 6'3" and fitted better on this scooter than the Mk 3 TMax I had a while ago, and the bars didn't hit my knees on tight U turns like on the TMax.
Joined the M4 to see what it was like with cross winds and gusts, didn't thrash it, took it up steadily to an indicated 70 and held it there for about 5 miles to the next junction. Well I was blown away (pardon the pun) this thing was more stable than my XT1200Z in the same conditions for goodness sake. I had no problem travelling at this speed with no screen it was just unreal. No buffeting or excessive wind noise I couldn't believe it.
I returned to the shop via dual carriageway and back through town with this wicked grin on my face.
"What did you think of it", said the dealer. Well I felt stupid coming out with all these superlatives about how great it was so I did the deal with him there and then for a silver Special Tourer with a fly screen and chrome racks front and rear.
Well now I've gone and done it.

Well done Vozza...the excitement builds eh! It's easy to under estimate these mid range scooters, until you try one. Brilliant aren't they.
Probably not ugly enough for the 'Ugly Bunch'!

Very nice
. If I ever "downsize", I'd be very tempted by one of these (in red)....
or maybe the GTV Vie Della Moda 300..... or the Vespa 946 (cheap as solid gold chips

Re: Well now I've gone and done it.
They had a 946 there, absolutely gorgeous
but all that money for a 125
I know it's incredibly exclusive, even a collectors item from the showroom, no I'll leave that for the celebs and footballers. I think rosso is my favourite colour but there's something classy about the silver/grey I think they call it titanium.
I'll be arranging the insurance tomorrow and pick it up Tuesday or Wednesday. Not many sleeps to go either way

Picked up the scooter yesterday in not very nice weather but still had a grin all the way home, wiped her dry in the garage. This weekend looks good so will give her a dose of ACF50 and get some miles on the clock. Should get some photos uploaded too.
