I think the Skywave name was already registered to someone else in Europe

The name was based on results from market research done by a company in Germany (can't remmber the name at the mo.)
Suzuki wanted a name that suggested aristocratic, established, solid and superior - gold had already been taken :P but pulling short of king or emporer ie good but not flagship

German and related languages have the words berg, burg/bourg and berger meaning mountain, castle/fortress/citadel and lord with the happy coincidence that they also suggest "town" so there is a vague pun on it suggesting high staus and city doode at the same time.

It happens a lot, I remember being at the Nova Car Company when the Vauxhall Nova was announced, unfortunately Vauxhall had the better lawyers on that one.

A Nova, but not like the one your granny drove :)

Video of the 2014 Burgman 200 here

Looks a bit dated to me. Some companies are going for the the Stealth fighter look while Honda and Suzuki stay with curves.

There are descriptions & photos of 2014 Burger 125/200s on Scooter Station. It is basically exactly the same scooter as before, but with a restyled front end, new clocks etc. If I understand the French correctly, it will be made in Thailand, whilst the old models were made in Spain. Reliability of the Spanish versions was (in my experience) very disappointing, so the Thai versions can't be much worse!
