Very Wet

Post by spaceprobe »

Had another nice wee break away, but during my pre departure inspection I found a large Screw in the rear tyre. The Ultraseal had sealed it in so no air loss but decided to remove it. Hole was then too big for the Ultraseal to work on its own but it was quick and simple enough to put a plug in. The weather was a nightmare today packing up in heavy rain I got soaked to the skin as did all my kit. It was then just so wet on the M27 I could not believe how cold I got in August. Still the Max performed well and remained very firm footed I like the Maxxis tyres that it came shod with. Completed my first 2000 miles on the way back and the engine as loosed up very nicely. Looks like I will be drying out my gear for weeks

Did you have all that gear in the picture on your scoot? How small does it fold up to?

I did, much smaller than the old tent which also fitted, these big old scoots are work horses. Read My review of this tent in the review section

Its Roundhills in the New Forest, its a regular site but they have a biker field isolated deep in the forest. Its a long walk to the showers but during the week you often have it to yourself even in August. The new manager at Roundhills is also a biker and as reduced the price to a backpacker rater £7.50. I love it ,its a nice place to escape and chill, if we could get enough interest we could have a camp out meeting there.

If there was enough interest I would be happy to arrange it. I suspect from a weather points of you we should think about next year
