So tempted by Yamaha's 0% finance deals! I could have this beaut for £99 down and £214 a month! :smoke: Wonder what it would be worth in 4 years time with best part of 50k miles on the clock...

That age, that mileage, if its absolutely mint with a full service history, £2500 on a good day.
There's currently a two year old Tmax for four grand on MCN.

I guess that's why I buy older bikes for commuters and just finish them off!gn2 wrote:That age, that mileage, if its absolutely mint with a full service history, £2500 on a good day.

Good plan.
You would have to be pretty wealthy to not care about the depreciation on a new Tmax.
Looks like the 0% is just on selected 125s

Tmax depreciation isn't as drastic as it appears.
That two year old one is a mk2 2007 model. It must have been sat around in a warehouse for a few years before it got registered.
And in 2011, it would have been a lot cheaper than the mk3, (which first appeared in 2008)

Honda are offering 3.9% APR on the Superb CB500X if you could entertain gears!
Being charged £390.80p to borrow £4851 over 3 years for a cracking bike seems a GREAT deal!
Unlike a Mortgage, IF you could borrow £100,000.00 FIXED at todays (artificially) low interest rate - over 25 years - you'd still end up paying back OVER £179,000!

Re: 0% Finance deals
Difference between a mortgage and a motorcycle finance deal is that with one of them you have a chance of getting your money back.
