New C 600 Sport Fork seal failure
So.................. My 19 mile C600 sport nearside Fork seal has blown , oil all over the Caliper , anyone else had this? I know the warranty will cover it , is it a reason to reject the bike , picked it up Friday . Sold my T Max and GSA to have one bike to do it all , now it won't !! What are my options? Cheers Chaps

I would doubt you could reject it as you have to give them a chance to resolve the issue. It is an easy repair, but I would be looking for a free service for your inconvenience.

I guess every bike is subject to component manufacturing failures. Very Probably just a one off. But keep a record, just in case it starts having lots of failures.......

Bet no one has ever had a fork seal blow on a Tmax @ 19 miles! I had a weep after 470000 !! on my mk1.
Will be interesting to see how good the engine is after £47000 my old Tmax was reliable and went like the wind !
Regards
Steve
PS I love the look of the c600 very cool!!!

I had a battery and rectifier on a k7 burgman with just under 40 miles on the clock . Now that was a poorly made heap of shite

So you keep saying, repeatedly. The engine of the BMW is made in Taiwan, and I'm no engineer, but I'm pretty sure the fork seal isn't part of the engine.gn2 wrote:What do you expect from Taiwanese shite?

Maybe that's why it failed! The decision to make the fork seal an integral part of the engine was always going to be controversial!MrGrumpy wrote:So you keep saying, repeatedly.
