Re: First scooter
you'll love it...i swapped my bandit 600 for a honda dylan 125,and couldn't believe how much fun i was having. an had quite a few scooters now ,the only thing i had to get used to wasn't the clutch/brake it was my foot wanted to change gear...lmao...strange but true.
..but now after few years on scooters i don't think i could ever go back to geared bikes again unless as a second bike ( always fancied a supermoto)
Good friends don't let you do stupids thing alone .

Re: First scooter
It should. But my guess is that there are a lot of us here who just flip up the side stand and hit the button.

Re: First scooter
I thought the same but the owners manual for my Gilera says to start it on the centre stand.mightbesane wrote:It should. But my guess is that there are a lot of us here who just flip up the side stand and hit the button.

Well, yes. You should. Whether you do or not is another question.

Re: First scooter
If you are sitting on it ready to ride you can safely start it with the centre stand up.
If it's an auto:
If you are not sitting on it don't have it running unless its on the centre stand.
Always switch off before you get off.
