Ace Cafe 09 Sep11 "cafe racer day"
Posted: Sat Sep 10, 2011 5:56 pm
As is typical this year we braved the forecasted rain (of which we saw very little) and rode the 90-odd miles to the Ace Cafe today for the annual cafe racer day when everyone meets up before the Burn up to Brighton tomorrow.
The turnout, especially of our German brethren, wasn't as good as previous years, possibly because of the lousy weather forecast. Bummer was I forgot my camera.
So, I took a few photos on the camera of my 6 year old Nokia, which isn't even rated in mega pixels! Therefore I apologise for the quality in advance:
A Hinckley Triumph (there were more Hinckley Triumphs than owt else there)

German W650

The stage outside the Ace

Ducati Superlight

BMW boxer lowrider

Another nicely done Boxer

High mileage Guzzi Rat

Coupla nice Trumpets

Who needs a travelodge, pitch camp at the side of the North Circular!

British XS650 based cafe racer

I think I knew the previous owner of this bike but I can't be sure

A selection of pics from Box Hill where we stopped for a cuppa on the way back:
