Another Yorkshire Pud

Newcomer saying hi to the membership.
Happily retired old duffer who’s been a life long motorcyclist. Previous owner of a couple of Yamaha YP250R Xmax scoots. One from 2014 and t’other 2017.
Sold the last one when I no longer needed to commute and fancied something a bit more inappropriate for a man of my age
. I had my eye on a Honda CB1100RS. Awesome machine but after only a year I traded it for 2 reasons. First was I wanted something with more weather protection, comfort and practicality for touring and second, I’d had enough of drive chain maintenance.
Ended up with a 2020 BMW R1250RT (my 4th RT over recent years). Whilst this is a sublime touring machine it’s a bit excessive for running errands and pootling about those beautiful sun-kissed hills and dales of Yorkshire.
Hence my thoughts have turned back towards another mid-sized scooter. I’ve decided to go for the Honda ADV350 but various reasons, financial and otherwise, I’ll be looking at order from September. In the meantime I’ve come here to get acquainted with the maxi-muppet community and to learn about the ownership experience of other ADV riders.
