Server Downtime and Donations Request

Hi,

Earlier I was notified by Capitano that people were having trouble logging in, posting, etc. By the time I got home to check out the forum I could not even access it. After a couple of hours of investigation it turns out I just needed to allocate more space to the account, do some housework and upgrade the forum to the latest version.

I have also been meaning to get around to the small point of it being the time of year I normal ask for donations, I have wondered if its worth keeping the site going to be honest as others are shutting down. I have stripped down the server to bare minimum to keep it running for the cheapest possible, so Maxi-Muppets now costs about £80 a year to run now, server and domain.

The domain is paid for until May, we have £10.32 in the kitty. If we hit £49.68 in donations by the end of this year then I will keep the server going for another year, if we don't then I will refund all donations and with reluctance shut down the site.

We can't lose the best scooter forum on the internet. Your work is much appreciated and I've made a contribution.
