Hi all, not been on this platform for years. Just sold my 2018 Forza 300 and I'm considering future purchase options.
The imminent 2025 improved Forza is very tempting but after seeing Autotrader new 2024 model prices I visited my local Honda dealer (Newcastle Motorcycles) and apparently Honda themselves due to the 2025 model are discounting the 2024 model heavily.
It's now only £4749 OTR in any colour while stocks last until 31st December 2024, then they are all going to be pre-registered.
What's the consensus, take the discount or wait for the new model with 5" TFT and improved left controls?
The next decision would be the 2024 colour to choose? The two in contention are the Pearl Falcon Grey (Gloss) or the Matt Blue. The blue is liked by my wife so that's a positive but I've heard the Matt colours could be harder to keep?

OK. hold the press!
Just called to order and they were now panicking as this price sheet is directly printed from their Honda dealer portal. As some have stated the Honda web site price is now £5299.
They are looking into this potential Honda balls up but my initial verdict is Honda have stupidly used the Forza 125 new promotional price of £4749 for the Forza 350.

.
I await a phone call to clarify.

Since there is no fundamental upgrade, only superficial twiddles (as far as I'm aware), then if you can get a good deal on the old model, then I'd go for it. I think Honda have updated (but only slightly) every scooter for 2025, so there may or may not be other deals around - I guess it will depend on what's sold well and what hasn't. Personally I'd be more interested in the ADV350 rather than the Forza 350, as it has better suspension, but it depends on the sort of riding you do. Colours? For me, anything but Grey!!!!!

I was in my local Honda dealer today looking at them but there was only a white one left at £4995. I've decided to order a 2025 model. Better instrument panel and choice of colour. I will spend the next three months saving up, have it as a "25" plate and buy it on a PCP. I reckon the monthly payment won't be much different....

I was up at Newcastle Motorcycles this morning to have a chat with Paul, the salesman.
I didn't ask prices but they still have discounted Forza 350s to get rid of before the end of the year.

Regarding colours :-
My NC750X is matt jeans blue and my Integra before that was matt graphite.
I was wary about the matt finish but after owning the Integra for a couple of years, I found it was easier to keep clean and looking good than the gloss finish, so my choice for the NC was another matt finish. You only had to look at the black gloss finish around the dash and the tunnel on the Integra to scratch it, whereas the matt finish was still perfect when I sold it.
No real extra care required just don't using any form of polish on it other than specialist matt spray polish (which I never felt the need to use). My only concession is to use Autoglym pure shampoo for cleaning. You can wipe over with a damp cloth to remove dust etc. and won't get swirling.
I don't know what the matt finish is like on metal on a car but certainly on plastic it shouldn't cause you concern.

I'd get the new one unless the cash difference was that important right now.
The display is useful, no need for a phone mount hopefully.
You'll get some of the extra back when you sell.
They'll give you more on your trade in.

That's good to know Filonian, and it sets my mind at rest. I have ordered an ADV 350 in " Matte Pearl Pacific Blue" ( estimated del date 2.1.25 ), and I was wondering about cleaning the matt paintwork, as I have read it can be tricky, and marks easily.

Vulcanet wipes are great for matt paint finishes and also for screens, and everything else on the bike for that matter
One of the only miracle products that actually does what it says it does
