Multibike Insurance

Has anyone, particularly older riders, got any recommendations for reasonable priced multi bike insurance policies. It is not easy to do a comparison site check for multi bike policies, they don't seem to do it, like for a single bike. I have never made a bike insurance claim ( in 58yrs of riding ), but still only get 9+ yrs NCB. I have never troubled any insurer, only to pay my premium, but I have been quoted £760, for a Forza 300, and ADV 350, which to me is excessive. I don't know whether my premium is being loaded because of my age (74 ), but I will have to ring various insurers in turn, with all my details for quotes, like I used to do before computers gave the option of comparison sites, which is very tedious, and time consuming. So any recommendations from, ahem, more "mature" riders for a decent insurer, with a decent price for two bikes.
Thanks - Malcolm.

For multi-bike insurance I have used Bikesure for several years (part of Adrian Flux). This year I went to https://www.entirecoverinsurance.co.uk/ (yes, sponsorship of TNT Sport's MotoGP coverage does work!) and I got a much cheaper quote from them. However its a bit confusing as I started with Entirecover, but they seem to be an intermediary site to other brokers so my cover is through someone else entirely, though the actual policy is with Aviva.
In previous years I've paid around £220 (ciomprehensive, protected NCB, No claims or convictions) for 2 Tmaxs (total value around £9k), but this year through EntireCover it was down to £154. I'm 66 now - whilst being older has been great for cheap insurance so far, I guess that premiums will start to rise as I get older. I suspect that the premium for an 80 year old wanting to ride a BMW M1000RR might be a bit pricey....

PS It obviously depends to a great amount where you live, where I live is part of grotty Teesside, nevertheless my local area has a very low crime rate. If you live in the London war-zone, think 4 figures for any sort of insurance!

As has been mentioned above, Bikesure is very good indeed. I don't currently have more than one bike but when I did they proved to be better than most.

I'm with Bikesure, 74 years old with 4 bikes and full NCB, multibike policy it costs about £350 with a mileage limit of 4000 miles on each bike (16000 miles total). Chatham Kent, which must be a loaded area.

Each year i go on Go compare and Compare the meercat sites. I had ins with Hastings for several years until this year when they wanted £100 more. i have two Bikes my 6 year old Cruisym300i and my Forza 350 that i bought new last year. This year i got a quote for one bike TPFT (as you can usually only do it for one bike) of £86. I then said i wanted a quote for my other bike this was £86 also £172 total. Iam 80 yr old clean license Max no claims. Mileage 4000per year.

Maybe it’s just me, and where I live, but I’ve always found it cheaper to buy two separate policies, and run up no claims discounts on both.

With maximum (9 years) on both I pay a grand total of £166 a year fully comprehensive.

I am of similar age to yourself and I use Bikesure for several bikes. The two modern ones are on a nominally common policy but Bikesure get in a terrible muddle handling them. For example at the moment they managed to shift my no-claims discount from the larger capacity bike to the smaller one, at least thats what the paperwork says. I have emailed them about this but they haven't bothered to reply. The renewal for the two bikes in question was £276.30 ( Honda 125 and 300) which is reasonable but I have no idea how it was arrived at.

Just be aware that if you go for a multibike policy you will be able to use one of your NCDs for the new policy, but 'lose' any others. If, at a later date you go for separate policies again you will only be able to use your multibike NCD for one of the new policies and have to start with no NCD on the other policies. That was my experience a few years ago.
