BMW have launched their new CE-04 elec scoot....

Performance of a 250 petrol scoot (ish). Weight of a maxi-scoot. Base price of a Tmax DX. Range....pathetic!

Reckon it's the replacement for Judge Dredd's original bike, the Fuoco.

At least it won't get nicked. After all, what self-respecting thief would be seen dead on it?

(unless they already have a matching helmet, obviously)

While the seat only looks comfy for 10 minute trips, at least it has proper mudguards. No doubt it will cost a fortune though.

The rear wheel looks like a car space saver spare wheel. 😖
BMW usually good with design but they lost the ball this time.

This one will go straight into the art gallery and almost never be seen on the road. Presumably that is BMW's intention as they seem to have left the design in the hands of art school graduates. My S01 has practical storage capacity and only a slightly lower range for less than half the price ( and even that is not good enough!). Its probably no coincidence that another German company - KTM, has taken a similar approach to electric scooter design; i.e. a completely impractical toy!
