Xmax 300 rear hugger?

Post by five50 »

About 300 miles on my bike now. Super happy with it.
Cleaned it today and see that winter road crud is collecting on the engine cases ahead of the rear wheel and is hard to scrub off.
Wondered about getting a rear hugger to stop this - seen some on eBay.
That said, the proximity to the engine seems to keep the rear tyre slightly warm - which feels like a positive for traction during the cold of winter.
Maybe I’m overthinking this.... but any experience / comments on this subject...?

On the Tmax, the plastics under the seat get covered with crap from the back wheel. I fitted a hugger in the hope that it would restrict the amount of crap thrown everywhere....but it doesn't! Looks OK but otherwise a waste of money.

No idea about huggers, sorry. But on the traction front, I bought a set of winter tyres which my local tyre dealer keeps for me during the summer and I swap over when the weather settles either above or below about 10C. Of course not going out hardly at all this winter means the winter tyres are still where I left them just under a year ago though! (Which makes me wonder what the shelf life is....)

Yes I agree, I got one my TMax, cant notice the difference protection wise...

I got mine from Ermax, and in my experience they are a right shower of a business so I wouldnt bother with theirs if they do one
