Kymco's turn for the pointless teaser video

Post by MrGrumpy »

Kymco have released their own version of the pointless teaser video - obviously trying to compete with Honda in this competitive category.

If you want to waste 30secs of your life, its on https://www.visordown.com/news/new-bike ... rt-scooter

According to Visordown, it'll be a X-ADV like adventure scooter, but what they base that on isn't clear! I rather liked the CV2 concept, so I'd be happy with that!

Thanks for posting. I was hoping for a BMW C evolution beater but I might settle for an AK550 with 20kg shaved off.

BMW has just showed a new electric scoot supposedly the next gen version and looks pretty cool.

Not sure it is my bag, 80 mile range, looks like a sinclair C5

Has it even been proved that electric is more environmentally friendly than petrol?

What about the slaves mining the minerals, it seems the world ignores all that, but what bothers me with the new BMW (according to some BMW nitwit):

“A scooter is not a ‘fun bike’ which is taken for ride in the mountains in fine weather, but a practical everyday vehicle for driving from home to the office or meeting friends in the evening – simply a vehicle for every day in the city,” says Buckan. Long-distance comfort is therefore less important than variable ergonomics and easy accessibility.”

When I go on a long trip I always take my scooter rather than the motorbike...

Yes why do they do that?

Do they think we get so excited we will put down a deposit on a bike we have no idea what it looks like?

Saw another Honda 'teaser' the other day, a black bike in the dark, literally.

Thanks for the pointer but what a disappointment. Its not a scooter its a fashion statement. Not enough storage for even one proper helmet. No weather protection. Any cyclist will tell you where the road dirt goes when you have no rear mudguard and that will soon make a mess of that parka with its ludicrous light strips. I can't see it ever reaching production and those prototypes are destined for art exhibitions only. I strongly suspect that the design came from a studio where nobody actually rode a scooter.
