T-Max 530 Check Engine Light

Couple of days ago my 2017 T-Max 530DX failed to start - or rather it started, then died, like it had choked on itself somehow. After that the engine was flooded and took a little while to get it running again - lots of cranking, waiting, cranking etc. I do now have a check-engine light on the dash however that won't go out. I've had similar things on my Triumph motorcycles when a start fails like that, and it usually clears itself after a few starts. But on the T-Max I've even tried disconnecting the battery for 30 seconds and the light is still there.
The scooter runs fine, although there does seem to be a little hesitation off-throttle, suggesting that maybe the closed-loop fuel injection is playing it safe. Anyone have any idea how to reset the fuel injection or clear a fault code on one of these, or am I going to have to pay my dealer to do it?
Thanks!
Nick

Hmmmm! I would guess that there's going to be an associated error code that can be obtained from the display - I would think that it would be a good idea to see what that is first! There may be real fault there, rather than just safe mode. Instructions in manual, perhaps (?!), but then of course finding out what the error code means could be more complex. Maybe google will be your friend....!
I guess that clearing it will require a genius with a computer, or a Yamaha dealer.

Google was my first recourse, no results - though I did find out that those T-Maxes are ODB2 compatible (if you buy the right adapter cable). I've picked up a code scanner, now I just need to find out where the port is to plug it in...
Any ideas, anyone?

I’ve looked it up. I’ll give you £50 for it, cash.

To quote Buzz Lightyear:
“...you’re mocking me, aren’t you.”
The internet is proving elusive on this point, but no, I’m not yet quite ready to pay for that information either.

Quick update: I found the diagnostic port next to the battery in the front fairing and was able to use an OBD2 scanner and adaptor to clear the code, all running smoothly once again.
