Had slight shudder upon setting off on my Honda sh300i - so off came the crankcase cover - bit of a faff - cleaned out all of the dust though admittedly not much - polished the drive face and drive face boss and the driven face - great result - not perfect but much much smoother now

What part are you talking about Symcity? Perhaps the bell and clutch part at rear wheel?

I've had those same symptoms from glazed clutch shoes on the Helix, when on tour of the south coast a few years ago. Having only basic tools with me I employed the redneck remedy - front wheel into the kerb, stand on the brakes and rev it up until you smell burning... sorted!

I didn’t deglaze the clutch as the clean out in the belt area seems to have resolved the slight shudder - if it reoccurs I will definitely remove the bell fully inspect and take it from there - the scooter pulls like a train with no clutch slip whatsoever

My last Burgman 400 had a shudder, cured by chamfering the leading edge of
the clutch shoes, I also cut 2 or 3 grooves across them at a angle in the hope
it would channel dust away to the open end of the bell, result in very smooth
take offs.
