There is no mention of the Cruisym 125/300 on Moto GBs 2020 Sym section of their website just the impending TL500 due in the spring, we're they not a success? Not much less cash than the Forza for example, or just poor marketing?
Otherwise largest scoot is the fiddle 200, and no more Maxsym 600 of course.
Ps, registration database up to 2019 Q3 indicates 14 125s and 33 300 Cruisyms.

They must have more success with cheaper 125's

I have had my Cruisym300 for 16 months and am up to 19000 km. I am very impressed with the performance, ie cruise speed , mpg, and ease of maintainance. The brakes especially deserve a mention, never had such good brakes on any bike I have ever owned. I feel like someone that has discovered something rather special, and am very happy to keep it to myself, never seen another on the road and it does not bother me in the least

Premium brand scooters, dreadful importer/distributor.
That pretty much sums up the situation.

As mentioned. Great product, crap importer.
Worries me as in a few years I will be looking at replacing my Joymax. They do have a new model out, the Joymax Z
Same wheels, motors, fuel tank, storage etc. But they've managed to slim it down and lose some weight. Yet they don't import
them here. There's also the big wheeled HD300 which looks interesting, but again not imported. SYM really do need to get a
decent importer if they want to do better here in the uk.

I am not being critical of the product in any way, having owned both a gts300 evo and a Maxsym 400 in the past, both excellent bikes. Purchased from two different motogb dealerships, appalling service in both cases However if you are fortunate enough to be able to self service that's great, but if you have to rely on dealers and you are not close to the North West where motogb dealers are located, generally the remaining dealers are unlikely to have seen any Sym above 125cc let alone worked on one and frankly are second rate. Used values are also poor but that problem lies firmly at the door of motogb with the absence of proper marketing effort.

I would agree marval, but I cannot remember the last time I let a dealer service any machine I have ever owned. I buy from a dealer, and apart from spares I don't visit again till I want a new bike. The cruisym is very easy to maintain a lot easier than my Silver wing. The only problem I have is, when I want to part ex for a new bike the high mileage on my current bike usually puts dealers off.

It's such a shame as Sang Yang Motor offer incredibly good machines for the money

I think the way to go if you buy a SYM or a Kymco is to self service and keep it, get your moneys worth out of it. They both make top quality scoots, and as said its a crime they are let down by the importers.

Yep, and open an account up with a main dealer in Greece, where they seem to have a decent importer/distributor.
