Tmax parts needed Sad story

Post by maxiscootnz »

 Passenger grab handles melted. Yeah you heard correct. No my scoot did not catch fire. Me the fuss pot that i am decided to tart up handles as they were a bit scratched from gear bag straps used when touring.
Paint them myself. No i will get them professionally powder coated. Got a call from company to say there is a rubber coating over the alloy we will try to burn it off in the oven. Got the second call to say they have melted  Made from some hard plastic :?: Long story short they are ....ed . They are to rich for me new from Yamaha. Lots more tmaxs in Europe. Maybe you no someone or a dismantler with one. Prepared to pay freight to New Zealand and some extra. They are not a item that would need to be replaced normally.
When people put top boxes on they may not need them. Can set up payment through pay pal a/c. Can someone help please

It is a 2008 mk3. I think the mk4 handles are the same?

Which year of Tmax have you got? I think I have the handles for at least 2 versions of the Tmax which are just kicking around the garage. Sods law says I haven't got the right ones for yours but its worth a look.
I just looked up the price of the Yam ones.......I see why you are seeking alternatives!!!

To clarify, I've got the standard handles for the mk3 (2008-11) and mk6 (2017+). Its possible that the mk3 might fit the mk4 and 5 as they have the same chassis design but I can't confirm that.
