Re: Nc 700 x
I doubt whether you’ll have any problems with the nc700 - easily serviced by yourself - check for signs of droppage I.e bent levers etc - check condition of tyres chain and sprockets - preferable with centre stand and low milage with one owner - best of luck

Re: Nc 700 x
I bought a new un in 2012, had 5 years of mega reliability - only normal service stuff ever needed over 25k miles. Over that time did well in excess of 10k miles of touring in Spain, France, Germany........ never missed a beat sipped petrol at an average of 80mpg and managed just over 100mpg pootling around some French D roads - mate on his GS1200 was just managing 50mpg until the Beemer broke, again !!!!!!! Pretty simple to service yourself, even the valve check is simple spanner adjustable. I fitted an auto chain oiler and the OE chain ( a known weakness) was still OK when I changed bikes. Excellent bike

DCT version? Increasing number of these have shifter pin failures. If you get -- in the display instead of D or S, then walk away as it can cost a few hundred to fix. The 750 is not affected by this.

Re: Nc 700 x
Early NC700X had a recall for the chain, The RG chain fitted (stamped on the side plates) to some bikes should have got changed to a DID chain. They changed my one free of charge, because I chased them up on it. It is a good bike, simple to work on and well made.

Re: Nc 700 x
Hmm, I only know of X's with the problem, but assumed it affected all the 700 range? I'm told Honda mechanics see a fair few of these problems and get the feeling this is under publicised really. I assume the part was modified for the 750s as there have been no such problems with those? Doe 2012 onwarsd have a modified part?kayz1 wrote:Taipan wrote:DCT version? But I suppose given the numbers sold and the high mileages achieved by a lot of them, its not that much of a porblem? Cracking bikes either way.
