Hi all, looking to get back onto 2 wheels after a short break due to heart failure, had to sell my BMW R 1200RT at the time as apart from dvla taking my licence away for 8 months she was getting a little heavy with the clutch operation due to implant in left shoulder. Looking for Suzuki Bergman 650 for my return as being an automatic will have no clutch to operate. Hopefully back to a little touring soon.

Burgman is heavy as well

I think they are actually heavier than the Beemer but obviously no clutch to pull.

The burgman is heavier than the RT but does not have a heavy clutch like the RT had.

Glad your better, I LOVED my 650 burger however...... Paddling that sucker around will give you another heart problem! Mine was like trying to move a steamroller when engine off due to the way it's gear driven it's different to the conventional cvt, I'm sure someone has the technical expertise to explain this on here so I had to part company with it. The overall weight was not a problem for me but try to manoeuvre it on gravel or a slippery surface or uphill with the engine off and you will be in trouble other than that was a superb bike with cavernous storage my dad has an 09 I had a 52 plate and both the same can't speak for the newer ones... I'd like to think they resolved the silly idea, good luck with the health BTW.. I opted for a gen 2 tmax couldn't afford a gen 3 or newer

Reckon it may well be better to look at something a little lighter and easier to maneouver to start with. Maybe a 400 Burger ? Don't know the 400 burger myself, so just a thought.
I have down sized my bikes over the last few years and the heaviest bike i have now is the Enfield.
The S-wing does all i need including long touring /camping trips, just avoid the motorways. Although funny thing is that i am getting used to 65 mph cruising and quite liking it
Great thing is i still get as much, if not more, pleasure from my motorcycling that i ever did before.
Ego has gone too..............................

hi and welcome, must agree with stevew, big BM or burgman 650 clutch or not, heavy machines. Alter your mindset into a lighter machine, they cover ground just as well as the heavy ones. They are just as much fun.
