The A591 Ambleside to Keswick road will be open again on the 13th,May,16.The road has been closed since Boxing day due to the floods.

Keep on the main roads in Cumbria your ok,but quite a few of the country lanes are closed,due to bridges that have been damaged by the floods,14 bridges closed still in Cumbria.

A591 Grasmere to Keswick was reopened today after nearly 6 months after the floods,no more 40 mile detour.New speed limit on the road now of 40mph,plus they have added a mobile police speed camera parking bay.

I'm coming up in August to Vespa Rally in Kendal riding all the passes .
