Right, so if you were to have to be on a 125 for at least 2 years (probably nearer 3) before being able to even consider going to a higher CC which would you go for out of?
NMAX 125
XMAX 125
Forza 125
Kawasaki J125
70% of use would in Greater and Central London with some Dual Carriageway journeys A406 etc. The other 30% Day trips out of the big smoke, so NSL and dual Carriageway.

Depends how much you've got, I love my SH125 and there's loads to choose from as they've been around for years.
Mine was £650 over 4 years ago, my son and I have added 15k+ with little mishap or cost, does 100mpg even as an older (53 plate) non-FI model. My preference is certainly for big 16" wheels.

Wouldn't pick any of those. I would either go for an SH125 or the S-wing.
And in the unlikely event that you are tempted by a small Peugeot, I would resist at all costs.

NMAX 125 - good choice but down to a price?
XMAX 125 - quality machine but ugly IMO
Forza 125 - Will be easy to sell on
Kawasaki J125 - get the SE.
The Satelis 125 should also be in contention. It's a good scooter for long distance and has some nice features.

Whats ya use?
All rounder, bit of distance etc - Forza125 - you will want ABS don't think the XMax has it - yet... and i dont know much about the NMax...
And i think teh Honda engine has come on so much more than the Yamaha Xmax... although i think the NMax is new Tech
Inner City commuting - SH125, I Did! - and its a whole world of difference than a XMax400
Thats my take...

Would be buying new. Needs to be an all rounder.
I don't like flat footboard scooters so that rules out the SH.
I think IIRC the forza had a 4000 mile service interval.

Sorry but why buy new, you lose a ton on depreciation.
Also intrigued why you don't like flat footboards, I admit they fail on the feet forward concept but given your 70% City use they are generally smaller/lighter machines more nimble and able to filter (see XMax400Paul's recent posts).
Best of luck
