I hope you have better luck going over the Grosglockner than we had last year. We'd booked a hotel just 100 yards from the entrance on the other side. We got there and the vision was terrible. Not wanting to pay £20 or whatever it was to go over, we looked at going round and doing it the next day. Unfortunately it was a 2 hour, 75 mile detour and it was getting late so we stumped up the dosh. I'm not kidding, we took it at about 10mph and if we hadn't have had satnavs, we wouldn't have known where the bends were. Even the cafe was shut so we couldn't even stop for a cuppa. Good luck. This was the best view we got when it cleared a little!

We are entering from Lake Constance going West to East on Autobahn getting a pass . Neither my 1994 Transit or Mikes 1988 Merc Hymer has a turbo so won't be doing mountain passes just follow valleys and use tunnels, one long one also has a toll .
