Does anyone have any experience of this area? I am thinking of a ride in May / June next year. I would welcome any input you can provide. If your interested in coming along please let me know. I won't hold you to it because at this stage it's very much a thought not a plan.
I would go over from Hull to Rotterdam but there's no reason why Southern based Muppets couldn't meet up with T'northerners on other side.

i suppose its one thing going for work and being in safe/familiar places, i honestly would plan this down to even the overnight places to stay, as like everywhere there are places you would not think of staying or parking your ride -- never mind being in a country where you dont know the area

Thanks for responses so far. Michael makes some fair points and that's one of the reasons why I am asking for advice. Won't be any fun to have to get the bus back because the Bikes been stolen.
Eric will probably know someone to talk to anyway.

Warsaw is nice, probably the most developed and tourist friendly (Westernised) Polish city. I stayed in the Polonia Palace which was cheap but nice and I think has underground parking. However everything is an extra so go out to eat!
Gdansk is really nice too if you're in that area, lots of history and the cinema was showing films in English with Polish subtitles!
Polish are friendly but customer service is laughable especially in the small towns. You'll be suprised how many Tescos there are out there now too!
Oh and driving standards are shit but better than they used to be and there are some really nice roads now the EU has paid for them to be done up

Went to Poland June 2013, superb country, nice people, very cheap even in hotels. Only probs (for some) could be the roads, there were many large deep potholes and loose/broken surfaces. Travelling along dual carriageways in heavy rain was dangerous as the standing water hid the potholes.
Just book good weather
