I was out last night driving along the A27, it was the restricted section (no 50cc or L plates). Ahead of me I came across a little black Vespa with L plates but what got my attention was that the young rider had slung over his shoulder a large golf bag complete with a wheeled trolley attached to it. It was so large it was hanging so far off one side it was almost touching the ground. I take my hat off to him I don't think I could have ridden balancing that, old Plod would have had a field day.

I once decided to carry a rather heavy battery charger or something on the scoot (forget which one) - possibly one of those jump start things that have a battery. Tied it down as best I could but by the end of the (shortish) journey it had shifted and was hanging right off the scoot. I was obviously perturbed that I nearly lost it (on a dual carriageway), but the imbalance in weight didn't seem to affect the handling at all!

I picked up a sack of cement dust on Saturday on my SH. Slung it on the footplate.

Its amazing what you can do with a flat floor....though there is barely enough room on an SH for your feet at the best of times!!!

Try riding the Honda sh125i,much more feet room [ I have size 11],better seat, more ground clearance. And am on my 3rd sh125,it never cuts out,not like the sh300i,and I have had 1 of them.

The big flat floor of the SYM Joyride is great for carrying things - probably why I keep it! From cabin bags to cases of wine it's a very useful '3rd way' option for stuff that won't go in the topbox or under the seat.

I just love all this ability to carry stuff on a scoot. Beats most motorcycles with absolute ease, unless you have the top box and side cases. Even then they often only just give you the same as a Burgman without even a top case.
