£4000 for a two year old Taiwanese scoot? Someone's having a real larf and anyone who pays that is a fool. Have a look at the prices of a two year old BMW C600 Sport for comparison.

EVERY other Maxi out their is better built than the "Kymco sourced BMW". Three years of horrendous problems, mostly unacknowledged to the public. Minimal to NO parts support, with the only "repair' for some issues being pulling an entire engine assembly off the line in Germany (NONE available through the parts network) or giving the owner another new bike. Some dealers in Italy are now putting AFTERMARKET parts in, either Mallossi or Dr. Pulley, as replacing an OEM clutch with another OEM clutch does NOTHING to eliminate the inherent glazing/chattering problems.

Imagine a large sack of LEGOS that you assemble on the floor at home. That's the C-series scooters. The sack comes from China, and the German Techs assemble it there. Most of the Legos ONLY come in each "sackload", and aren't available by themselves. Like engine valves, pistons, brake calipers, caliper repair parts, etc.

The finished BMW product's quality has almost NOTHING to do with where it was assembled, but where the parts come from. "Kymco-sourced" means that they are talking to the factories in China FOR BMW. Look at the new Xciting 400 engine Kymco came out with. An absolutely BULLETPROOF design. THAT engine they designed AND built; IN TAIWAN.
