My best friend came over to dinner on Saturday night. We are very close and he hates it so much that I ride bikes, he always makes the point that if I am ever killed he will make sure that knaff plastic flowers and a teddy bear are fixed to a lamp post and if i survive he will take a sledgehammer to what is left of the bike, bless. I came across this vid on another forum which I think sums it all up, never the less we want you all to be careful.

Re: Why ride
good vid..
i call it the ripple
life is full of ups and downs and what you do in life will ripple onto other people.. although to all of us death is the only constant. we as people only feel its emotional effect when the ripple touches us. You can be an instigator of a ripple through an act or gesture or decision.
If you feel the ripple at its start then you are more likely to feel its wrath so to speak.
Whatever job you do in life will let U see more of the ripples effect, especially yours spaceprobe

Re: Why ride
Nice point, I always tell my patients that life is a journey but I like the ripple idea I may start telling them that.

Re: Why ride
No, dealer thinks mid to late March. I think the boat docks or as docked already so then I guess because its a new model its got to be approved etc etc so the dealer is not expecting to get his hands on it until later in the month (his been very good with e mails keeping me up to date). I am not bothered the winds have been terrible here, in fact I am just looking out of the window trying to decide if I should ride to work this afternoon. The 400 is running like a dream and it will be nice to pick up the new bike during some nice weather picking up my last 3 new purchases was an ordeal by water. Of course being the first owner in the UK the international press will be there so I will have to get my hair done, you know what its like being a poster boy

Re: Why ride
Probably about a month away then, I saw something in MCN the other day, you are right to think the press will be there. Or was it just a dream............lol
I know what you mean about the wind mate, my commute is only about 4 miles but the trip was very scary a couple of weeks ago due to wind.
