Over the past few years I have been flip flopping between Burgman 400's and Triumph Bonnevilles having had 5 of each. Currently running a Bonneville which I love but the call of the Burgman is beckoning once more. Before someone chips in "have both" I have been down that route and the Bonneville stood idle so that answers my own question. I have been hanging on for a 400 update but looking at it I can't really see where they could go with it as it's pretty spot on now. One question, has anyone with 2012/13/14 models had any clutch issues. My 2010 had a grabber and it was pretty bad but dealer says it is no longer an issue.

Get a Maxsym.
No clutch issues at all.
Or wait for the Kymco 400 ABS.

The thing is I have a cracking Suzuki dealer who really does "look after me" and that is worth an awful lot.

I've had a similar problem, not as bad as you though, I've only had 3 Bonnies in amongst a PCX, Majesty 400 and a Tmax. I think you've answered your own question though, if you got both the Burger gets used more. I guess it's only you that can decide. Haven't heard of a new Burger 400 coming any time soon so I guess it's the current model which I've had a demo ride on and it's pretty good, I'd have one before a Maj or a Tmax because it was more comfy for my proportions.

How about the single cylinder Maxsym 600i ABS? Cheaper, more powerful, better looking, fettle-friendly and way more fun* than a 400 Burgman!

I originally owned the 2007 Burgman 400 that were very prone to Clutch Issues before they redesigned it.
But I never had any problems with mine
I believe a lot of the clutch issues on the Burgman 400 are down to Suzukis crazy running in procedure.
They say don't rev it over 4000 rpm for the first few hundred miles.
If you did that the clutch would be slipping none stop!
I know a lot of USA owners ran there scoot in by the book and it caused the clutch shoes to Glaze over.
Fingers crossed I won't have any problems with my 2014 Burgman ABS that I collect this Saturday.....

I thought all Burgers since 2006/7 were prone to grabbing as they increased the take-up speed (and therefore heat) to compete with the Tmax.

Best buy a Piaggio X10 with its wet clutch that will never grab.
I've ordered one and I'm very picky!
