Hi there
just a quick question for anybody that can help .,
i have a yamaha xmax sport 125 2013 model 1900miles on it .noticed that the last couple of months now the discharge clear tube at the back of airbox gets full quite easily and fills up quicker on wet days ,sometimes emptying it daily ,is this natural or is something not quite right .checked my hoses and their fine .

Re: yamaha xmax dirty airbox tube
Some scoots / bikes use the air box to recapture oil vent from the crankcase... so a sometimes you can get an oily / milky fluid in the tube...
Which can increase if the oil level is on the high side or after a spirited ride created extended crankcase pressure...
Some scoots it may be simply moisture / water if the crank isn't vented in to the airbox...
Either way, with the amount or rain and road spray - I wouldn't be too surprised...

i would still take some out john, dont need to be upper mark.. use a bit of tubing and stick it down the level check hole and suck to an empty can or suck and then put your finger on top of hose as you only need a bit outjohn wrote:Cheers paul think it was all the wet roads causing it .roads are dryer now and its defo not as bad .
I cant seem to remember.. I don't know where I'm going, but I'm on my way.
