My mate has had that problem with his Yamaha R1. Apparently it's a common problem and a new lamp is around the £200 mark.

Take it back where you got it from.
I don't know anything about the SH but I have seen bikes where the bulb has completely burnt through the lens and your bulbs aren't going to last long at all with rainwater pouring in on them. The matter will only get worse because the parts of the lens that are now opaque will catch even more heat.
I don't think the fire risk is high but there is plenty enough power there for one.

Id, take it to an mot test centre and ask if it would be a failure, check the bulb against the recommended one in the owners manual, and keep an eye out on ebay for a replacement lamp.

Just been out and had a look at mine and there is no sign of any melting or warping through heat. I do think the headlight is crap on these though and it may well be someone upgraded the bulb if they rode on back roads and removed it before selling or PXing it?

if its only a 2011 is it not possible to get it done under warranty claim through the manufacturer, if it had a defect at manufacturing point which has escalated they may do something about it.
