I normally go for EBC, I tried the Sintered HH but found the braking not much different from the significantly cheaper Organic GG however when looking at their site you can get Carbon ones that are slightly more expensive than the Organics but supposedly cause little or no disc wear and last a really long time.

So does anyone have any experience of Carbon brake pads? and what were they like?

just using EBC organic with kevlar which are very good

Already ordered the complete set front and rear, they are only £3 more than organics but much cheaper than sintered by £4

I will be interested in your opinions on the new pads . I replaced my brembo pads with the ebc HH and the braking distances were significantly reduced but they do have less feeling than the organic types.

ive just put EBC sintered HH all round on my scoot only because i dont want fade if im pushing it on the hills.Its a heavy beast and more times than not thoose brakes are important
Im not concerned with how long they last as they are all cheap i think. I replaced my front disc as it was showing wear and didnt want to stuff any type of new pads prematurely.
The only thing is dont put new pads on a worn disc, what i mean by that is a disc with to many lumps or grooves in it. The pads will take that shape and you wont have the maximum flat surface area when needed.

Sorry Ferret didnt really answer your question but you have a heavy ride to and what a fast scoot!!!! you must love it.
I guess it depends on how you ride your machine and i think the organics may be more forgiving but they will get torn up pritty quick on your beast if you are using it like i think i would.
What scares me and probabley others is panic braking .
My next investment is some adjustable levers so that i can balance and adjust the braking between front and back to suit my riding style.
Although many rides have this including the TMax i dont.
You may have this or some thing better?

I find HH pads a bit wooden in feel unless they have a fair bit of heat in them when they are undoubtedly better. As I rarely get heat into brakes on my commute I go for normal EBCs. HHs/Sintered pads do accelerate disc wear too.

Good choice Taipan unless your tramping stick with factory. i live and tramp on hills so i get my brakes hot.

thanks for the link Funky, will have a bash with them when i next need a change, thanks .. with any luck they should last longer on the front which i think is your intentions
